“You may Have Lost Your Hearing, but It Does not Mean You Lost Your Claim”
You may have lost your unemployment hearing, but that does not mean you have lost your claim. Oftentimes unemployment claimants will lose their initial hearing. This may occur because the referee made an incorrect interpretation of the law or perhaps evidence was considered that should not have been allowed. You can then appeal that decision to the Unemployment Compensation Board of Review. The Board of Review will look at the facts of the case and they may reverse the initial decision or provide a new hearing. Pometto Law will help you devise the legal arguments that you need to succeed on appeal to the Board of Review. Whether or not we represented you at the initial hearing, we are here to help with your appeal.
